Today, I’m staying on a farm in Arkata, California. Albert (in the red shirt) has cycled a fair bit through the US and Mexico, but he currently owns and runs an organic farm which leaves him with little time to travel. To fill the void, he has opened up his place for cyclists, who can camp on his property or stay in one of the cabins at no cost. This is a busy time of year for him, and today is no exception.
