Awkward in shape and only 13 square meters of floor space–designers of Studiomama came up with an interior design concept, that gave a new lease of life to a tiny studio, that had previously been used as a mini cab office. With smart storage solutions, this London apartment has everything one needs including a double bed. "It was like designing the interior of a boat or a caravan," says designer Nina Tolstrup.

A Cabin Design That Combines Japanese Aesthetics and the Tasmanian Wilderness

This cabin on Bruny Island in Tasmania, Australia, was designed by architects Maguire + Devine. The client wished for a highly functional minimalistic building on her 99 acres piece of land. There were only two pieces of furniture allowed – a mattress and a low table. For the rest of the facilities, the cabin itself needed to function as "furniture".
